CLasses

Lititz Clay Studio offers a variety of ways to satisfy your interest with clay. Classes are structured to suit all ability levels, and cater to the interests of the students. Whether you've never touched the pottery wheel, or just need a refresher for your skills, Lititz Clay Studio classes fit all students.

6-Week Adult Classes

$160

These once-a-week, two hour classes will allow students to develop their skills on the pottery wheel.
Clay is included with the class fee, along with the use of studio tools. Studio glazes and firing are also included.

Studio Access is limited to class time for these classes.
6-week classes are intended for individuals 18 and older.

6-week Adult Classes - Premium

$200

The "premium" option for the 6-week classes gives you the same instruction and class time as the 'regular' classes, but also allows membership access to the studio starting the night of the first class, and ending at the conclusion of the final class.
Students with membership access must abide by all studio rules pertaining to Lititz Clay Studio Members.
Clay will be provided during class time, but must be purchased for usage outside of class.

Class types

Beginner/Intermediate - Adult (18 and over) - classes are for those starting the journey with clay, or for those who have a little experience but still need to work on some of the fundamentals. Individual goals will be set and met each week, working through the basics of functional pottery on the wheel, and extending skills for those that have some experience.
Intermediate/Advanced - Adult (18 and over) - classes are for those with experience, who want to be challenged by new shapes and ideas. New shapes and ideas will be introduced using images and demonstrations, and the entire class will work on these common goals, culminating in a critique with each 'due date' for the purposes of growth and the exchange of ideas. (It's all meant to be positive!) Aesthetics, proportion and function will be addressed, with a focus on quality over quantity. The goal for the course is to promote growth for all levels, and create unique pieces that show a higher level of skill, and a better understanding of 'why?'.
